Once we had the holder piece made for lid then we worked on getting the inside cover piece made. We had offset the holder so that it over lap the Porta Potty hole and we can place the inside cover piece onto that piece of metal. To perform this step we had to take a piece of soap stone and trace were the 2 inches of offset started on the holder piece. To make the inside cover piece we perform the action to make it several times. The first time we tried to put the inside cover piece of metal on the holder we placed the cover piece of metal on the outside of the soap stone line and the cover wouldn't fit resulting we for to have to do it again. The second time we placed the cover piece on the soapstone line and it still wouldn't fit so we had to do it again. Finally we placed the cover piece of metal on the inside part of the soapstone line which fit inside the mock-up.
This is a picture of our final working circuit for the I&D Lid. For the wiring we tested different positions for every wire to make the circuit work and different battery voltage as well to have power for the Arduino board and circuit board. The circuit stopped working at one point in the creating of and we had to troubleshoot the product. The PIR sensor was replaced because we thought that it was damaged so we had to solder a new PIR sensor onto the wires. Then the wire that we have to solder onto the sensor kept touching the other pins on the PIR sensor when we soldered it on so we kept having to strip the wires and start over with the soldering.

Through the testing of our circuit and weld pieces of the project we were able to fix the problems of the project and make them better for the final presentation. Mrs. Kosin told us about different ways we could get he servo to move for the Fresh Air Chamber. She also told us about the wiring we used to make the circuit work better, she suggested using alligator clips to connect the wires to the Fresh Air chamber. Finally, she worked with us we Arduino to better understand the system and how to use if for the project like the delays for the motors.
